We met our friend Minor Esquivel and his beautiful family on our 2013 trip to Costa Rica, and have been buying their coffee ever since. The always gracious Minor, his lovely wife Delcia, and beautiful daughters Nitsi & Daniella treat us like family each year we visit their farm. La Pastora, with its immaculate micro-mill situated at 1780m above sea level, is the template for how a large farm can be efficiently run. A true pioneer who is continually experimenting with new processing methods, Minor produces some of the cleanest coffees to be found anywhere, and this double fermented African washed process coffee is a perfect example.
