San Victor

Farmers: Raul & Alejandro Molina
Altitude: 4,000 – 4,400 ft

At the invitation of our friends, Dr. Raul Molina and his son Alejandro (Alejandro had worked for Java Pura after graduating from Texas A & M), we visited Guatemala for our first time last March. Raul & Alejandro couldn’t have been more gracious hosts, showing us not only their beautiful farm San Victor, but many other top Guatemala farms as well. San Victor, in the Fraijanes Municipality 30 kilometers from Guatemala City, is an up and coming (may already be there!) specialty coffee farm, producing some very fine coffees. Our washed coffee from San Victor is made up of a number of varietals including; Red & Yellow Bourbon, Yellow Catuai, Pache, and Typica. Surrounded by volcanos; Agua, Fuego (VERY active), Acatenango, Pacaya, and Cerro Redondo, the farms rich volcanic soil is perfect for producing great coffees, not to mention makes for an exotic setting. We can’t wait to visit again.
